GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO BOOKINGS

The “Service” provided and invoiced by La-Ngwenya Serenité includes, but is not limited to, the reservation of a four-bedroom self-catering accommodation for a specific date, for a particular guest/s providing the agreed upon the duration of stay and any additional services as confirmed on the invoice.

A booking confirmed by a voucher, pre-payment or emailed invoice constitutes a binding contract.

1. Payment and Cancellation Terms

  1. We require 50% of the total accommodation to secure your booking, within 48 hours from the booking date/time.
  2. A Refundable breakage fee of R2500 is payable before check-in
  3. Balance of the accommodation is payable 24 hours before check-in.
  4. Cancellation within 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total
  5. Cancellation within 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total
  6. Cancellation within 30 days before arrival, may incur 10% to cover bank charges and additional administration costs off the booking total
  7. In the event of premature departure, the full original booking fee is non-refundable.
  8. No-show: 50% of deposit is non-refundable and full invoice is payable. La-Ngwenya Serenité reserves the right to enforce legal action to recover the debt.
  9. Accommodation will be cancelled automatically if the pre-payment is not received within two days of making the booking
  10. Please note, we do not accept any cheques as payment.

2. Liability

  1. The accommodation offered is a privately owned property and all guests enter these premises at own risk. Vehicles parked at own risk.
  2. The owners/management of La-Ngwenya Serenité are not liable or do not accept any responsibility for any lost, stolen or damage done to any guest’s property.
  3. Any damage to the property or its content should be reported immediately upon arrival to owners/management. If guests fail to do so, they will be held liable for any damage to the property or content and breakage fee will be forfeited.
  4. If the key(s) or remote(s) are lost or not returned for any reason whatsoever, the guest/company will be held responsible for any security costs incurred as a result of not returning them.

3. Laundry Facilities

  1. Laundry can be provided if an extra surcharge is paid, and then only by prior arrangement.
  2. Under no circumstances are guests allowed to operate the washing machines on their own.

4. Right of Admission is Reserved.

  1. The guest/s understands that the personal information given herein is to be used by La-Ngwenya Serenité to assess his / its creditworthiness. The guest/s confirms that the information provided by him/it is accurate and complete. The guest/s further agrees to update the information supplied, as and when necessary or if requested to do so, to ensure the accuracy of the above information, failing which La-Ngwenya Serenité will not be liable for any inaccuracies.
  2. La-Ngwenya Serenité has the guest/s consent at all times to contact and request information from any persons, credit bureaus or businesses, including those mentioned in this form and to obtain any information relevant to the guest/s credit assessment.
  3. The guest/s agrees that the information given in confidence to La-Ngwenya Serenité by a third party on the guest/s will be used for the purposes for which that information is given or as provided for by legislation.
  4. The guest/s now warrants that the information given to La-Ngwenya Serenité in terms hereof is both accurate and correct.
  5. The guest/s now consents to and authorises La-Ngwenya Serenité at all times to furnish personal and credit information concerning the guest/s’ dealings with La-Ngwenya Serenité to a credit bureau and any third-party seeking a trade reference regarding the guest/s in his dealings with La-Ngwenya Serenité.
  1. Treat your personal information as strictly confidential.
  2. Take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and is protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage, alteration, disclosure or access. 
  3. Promptly notify you if we become aware of any unauthorised use, disclosure or processing of your personal information. 
  4. Provide you with reasonable evidence of our compliance with our obligations under this policy on reasonable request; and
  5. We will not retain your personal information longer than the period for which it was originally required, unless we are required by law to do so, or you consent to us retaining such information for a longer period.
